At our hackathons, the vast majority of attendees are from the Bay Area, a strongly STEM-oriented region. In
order to create opportunities for girls from around the world to pursue STEM, we needed to go beyond.
We couldn’t bring everyone to San Francisco, but we can bring the empowering Superposition experience worldwide.
Chapters are equipped with exclusive resources for impacting their communities without starting from scratch. We have detailed guides
for hosting events, connecting with companies, teaching STEM curriculum, and more. With your leadership, we can bring
Superposition to your local community.
Since our chapter program launched in June 2020, we’ve opened 56 chapters from 13 US states & territories and 6 countries.
Learn how you can start your own chapter here! The application process is
simpler than ever — just a few questions and no interviews.
WHY START A CHAPTER?
With our experience managing large-scale events and social media, we'll provide you
with all the resources you need. Skip the trial and error process, and get
right to creating change. You'll be added to a Slack workspace where you'll constantly
be getting new materials, like lesson plans, guides, and advice. You'll have access to our
Lead Director and Chapters team for asking any and all questions.
Every month, we will award a Chapter of the Month and Changemaker
of the Month recognizing chapters and individuals going above and beyond to uphold
our mission. Superposition Chapter Leadership is also eligible to earn the Presidential Volunteer Service Award.
Thanks to our Superposition Education Team, chapters get access to complete STEM lesson plans, including teaching guides, student
worksheets, and slideshows. We create content in Biology, Astronomy, Physics, Computer Science, Chemistry, and Math at elementary, middle, and high school
Empower girls in STEM by creating educational opportunities & community! With your chapter's programs, you'll be able to
inspire a love of STEM in others. Our chapters' events have already reached thousands of students in 23 countries!
Your work will remain independent of other chapters and of the core team. You'll have the
freedom to work on any project of your choosing, and recieve all the
support you need.
With Superposition's international reputation, your chapter will gain access to connections to companies & girls in STEM from around the world.
Our chapters have been able to host events with Art of Problem Solving, Sketch, and iRobot.
