TESTIMONIALS
"My most important takeaway from Superposition IV was that there are many others out there, even miles away, that are willing to support me and I do not have to get through the tech industry alone or without support from my peers, mentors, or even the professionals at companies. I now see that there are so many creative women that are not only in the same place as me, but that have come before me and have done tremendous things and I see myself being that mentor for the next generation."
"I have always been reluctant to pursue computer science due to the male dominance. However, after seeing this gathering of women I felt inspired, knowing that there were other women who also shared my passions. Seeing this community and being able to connect with these other girls has made pursuing tech possible."
"Superposition IV empowered me by creating a safe space where I thought my ideas were valued. I t allowed me to explore more about my passions and meet other young, talented, and intelligent women. When the guest speakers talked about their personal experiences it felt relatable, and I felt more powerful and ready for what’s next in my career.
"I really enjoyed the welcoming environment. As someone who has never participated in a hackathon before and is relatively new to coding, I felt supported and under very low pressure. The ability to attend workshops and not just focus on completing the project gave me confidence in my learning process and I feel much more motivated to pursue a career in STEM after participating."
"I'd impulsively decided to join in, with no idea how hackathons word and feeling a little nervous since I only know a bit of web development and design. But I'm so glad I took that risk. I loved how welcoming Superposition was towards beginners and found the webinars to be extremely helpful. In such a short period, I learned so much ... about Figma, the design process, project management in a team under stress, and internships. Felt like a safe space to just learn and have fun."
"I have experienced many situations within the programming field in which I felt as if I did not belong. However, just by attending the workshops and seeing the speakers and the number of participants, I realized that I am not alone and that there is a whole community of women and non-binary people that love programming."
FAQS
Hackathons are competitive coding events where teams have limited time to develop a solution to a real-world problem using technology. In teams of 4, students will work together to build a project and pitch their solution to a panel of judges for the chance to win awesome prizes. Overall, hackathons are here to provide a supportive environment with free food, mentors, and awesome activities to help you learn and succeed!

To ensure fairness, we want all participants to start a project from scratch once they form a team at our event. Feel free to brainstorm ideas beforehand!
Not at all! You can work on your project at any time during the project submission period. Feel free to take breaks to grab a snack, spend time with your family, or just relax!
